On the first Thursday in March, 2016, in a sleepy little town called Metuchen, centrally located in New Jersey, against the backdrop of Hailey's Harp and Pub, five teams are invited to a party at this quaint Irish pub. They are met at the pub by Chris, the owner, who reminds them that they have been given an assignment to locate a missing patron. What lies in front of these 5 teams is nothing short of a missing person case turned into a murder mystery, and they need to solve this heinous crime to escape with their very own lives, and sobriety.
The five teams are as follows, with each team having its own cast of characters (all hiding dark secrets) to assist them in pursuit of the murderer.
- Mr Green, lead by Vincenza Eccleston
- Colonel Mustard, supervised by Danny Adlerman
- Ms Scarlett, managed by Tony Riveria and Ron Vukovich
- Professor Peacock, captained by Ashley Shay
- Mrs White, chaperoned by Okie Kennedy
Chris turns out the lights in the room, creating a moment of chaos. When the lights come back on, DY has been murdered; seemingly everyone denies killing him. To quote Inspector Clouseau “Cato!, You imbecile”, turn by turn, clue by clue, cocktail by cocktail, each team inches closer to solving the murder mystery.
Various weapons, the wrench, the candlestick, the lead pipe, the knife, the revolver and the rope, could be located in anyone of the following rooms, the Ballroom, the Billiard Room, the Conservatory, the Dining Room, the Hall, the Kitchen, the Library, the Lounge, and the Study.
A Team who thinks he or she has the answer may make anA ccusation during their assessment, naming a character, weapon, and room. Numerous accusations are being hurled about, some with deliberate thought, some random guesses as measured by the alcohol consumption by the team. We are on the lunatic fringe as the game spins on and out of control, until the moment of truth, Professor Peacock screams out “Mr Green was in the kitchen with the knife to murder DY”. Sobbing uncontrollable, Mr Green admits to the crime in fear that DY would expose him for the cat juggling acts he has committed.
